Webinar - Introduction to Tableau: An Alternative Solution for Data Analytics
Event Details:
Tableau is a powerful data visualization tool that helps users turn raw data into interactive dashboards and reports. Known for its user-friendly interface, Tableau allows both technical and non-technical users to easily create visual representations of data. It integrates with various data sources like Excel, CSV, and cloud platforms (like survey software), making it a versatile tool for analyzing trends, identifying patterns, and facilitating data-driven decisions. Tableau also supports interactive features such as filters and drill-downs, which enhance data exploration.
In this presentation, we will cover the basics of using Tableau, from connecting to data sources to building simple visualizations. We will explore how to clean and prepare data for analysis, and how to create an interactive dashboard that can be shared with others. By the end, you will have a foundational understanding of how Tableau works and how it can be used to transform data into meaningful insights.
Webinar - Creating a Community of Learning through Task and Project-Based Activities
Event Details:
Project-based learning can create opportunities for adult students to use authentic language and literacies in cooperative, collaborative, and creative ways to meet real-world challenges and goals.
Additionally, learners can develop workplace and everyday life skills, such as problem-solving, organizing, delegating, and team-building.
Importantly, a range of literacies (digital, text, visual, financial, health, numeracy, critical, etc.) can also be developed through applications that meet students' immediate and future needs and goals.
In this IPDAE webinar, participants are presented with a framework for high-quality project-based learning. Example activities that engage and move learners beyond being simply knowledgeable to knowledge-ABLE will be presented for a variety of adult education contexts.
