This webinar presents IPDAE’s upcoming professional development Course, Teaching Adult ESOL in Corrections Education. This 14-week professional development course is designed to prepare educators in adult education corrections settings with professional learning focused on andragogy (the teaching of adults) and TESOL (teaching English to speakers of other languages) theory and methodology to support adult ESOL learners' academic and professional goals.

In the webinar, the course structure, goals, outcomes, and objectives will be shared. Additionally, course activities will be presented to illustrate how the course cultivates an informed and reflective community of teaching practice for educators to effectively support themselves, their colleagues, and their adult ESOL learners in corrections settings. Information on how to register for upcoming offerings of the course will be shared.
