Team Teaching within Adult Education

Presentation Date: 10/12/2016 at 3:00pm

Description:
The Advantages of a Variety Perspectives, Attitudes, and Teaching Styles. In the last few years there has been much discussion in Adult Education circles about Integrated Team-Teaching with Technical Departments. The Washington state’s IBEST model, Illinois’s ICCAPS model, and now Florida’s FICAPS directly address the broadening scope of Adult Education beyond the traditional GED and general academic instruction into areas of digital literacy, workforce preparation, career planning, as well as career and technical education. While embraced by some, the addition of these new requirements and goals can be overwhelming to other Adult Education Instructors. Team-teaching within the Adult Education Department can provide a variety of advantages to instructing adults and accomplishing all desired state goals for Adult Education Departments. Instructors and students will benefit from exposure to a variety of teaching styles, personalities, and educational perspectives. This webinar will discuss the ways in which adult education instructors can implement team-teaching practices to the benefit of students and teachers alike.
