These standards appear as Section 4 of the 2013 final report of the Office of Career, Technical and Adult Education’s Promoting College and Career Ready Standards in Adult Education.
CCRS Appendix B Connections Between Standards (PDF, 286KB)
This appendix presents the connections that occur between and among the ELA standards across the domains followed by the Mathematics connections occurring in Levels D and E with comments on those connections. The ELA connections are presented on pages 96 and 97 followed by the Mathematics connections pages 98-103. This appendix can be quite useful for designing coherent units of instruction.

Appendix B: Text Exemplars and Sample Performance Task( PDF, 1.52MB)
Common Core State Standards for ELA. This appendix provides text samples to “exemplify the level of complexity and quality that the Standards require all students in a given grade band to engage with.” The selections provided should serve as “useful guideposts” as educators choose texts for their classrooms.

The Hunt Institute (Website)
The Hunt Institute is leading the movement to transform American education. The site includes videos which provide an overview of the shifts, strands, and standards.

This Gates Foundation Project provides lesson videos illustrating the key shifts, videos of teachers discussing their lessons, editable lesson plans, and links to other related websites.
Aspen Institute (Website)
Materials for teaching close reading skills that are tied to standards. This site also provides leadership materials.
ReadWorks.org (Website)
A site offering thousands of authentic, free passages with evidence-based question sets, as well as lessons tied to the standards.
Teaching Channel (Website)
A video showcase, on the Internet and television, of innovative and effective teaching practices in America’s schools. Lessons include such topics as evidence based writing and close reading of nonfiction.
