This webinar will present a 10-week online teacher professional development course for teachers of adult ESOL in Florida. The course is focused on andragogy, second-language learning theory, and ESOL teaching methodology. Throughout the course, participants reflect on and share their developing professional identities, as well as how course content applies to their diverse teaching contexts.

In the webinar, we will focus on how the course motivates an informed and reflective teaching practice for teachers to effectively support themselves, their colleagues, and their adult ESOL students. Additionally, the webinar will highlight examples of how the course cultivates a community of professional development and teaching practice online, allowing teachers from around the state of Florida to learn from and support each other.

Do you want to make your classroom more engaging? In this session, participants will learn how to create and implement QR codes within their classroom. Participants will leave this session understanding how to use QR codes to enhance student learning, how to use free QR code generators, and some of the online activities that can be used to link a QR code. QR codes can be used across multiple platforms and subject areas. This session is designed for classroom activities within an ELA or ESOL classroom.

Through guided activities and resources, this online resource is designed to support administrators of Adult Education on their journey to learn about the requirements and resources available to support their programs. The webinar will discuss the rationale and design of the online guide, as well as provide opportunities for Q&A and suggestions from webinar participants. In this session, participants will be introduced to a course design method that guides educators in setting meaningful goals and defining an appropriate scope based on the subject matter. This approach ensures the clear and correct alignment of course outcomes, objectives, assessments, learning activities, and content. This is accomplished through the systematic use of standardized documents that support the coordination and collaboration of contributing stakeholders. As a result, course development projects yield consistent learner experiences and effective documentation to guide the facilitation and maintenance of the course. The presenters will share examples from the design of Adult Education professional development courses. This session is of benefit to anyone who is interested in learning more about the instructional design of educational courses.
